Last month it was reported that Dani Ceballos wanted to move out of Real Madrid this summer and immediately both Spurs and Arsenal were linked to the midfielder.

Ceballos joined Real Madrid back in 2017 from Real Betis and back then the Bernabeu outfit had so much faith on the player’s talent that they decided to add a £450 million transfer clause in his contract – reportedly.

But now, Real are willing to let him leave for a transfer fee of around £45 million which has drawn in attention from a number of Premier League clubs.

AC Milan had also held talks with the player but now that the Serie A side have been banned from the Europa League we do not feel that they will make a move for Dani Ceballos any time soon.

But earlier this week, the 22-year-old talked about his future and in doing so he has hinted that his future at Real Madrid is far from certain.

“The truth is nothing is clear about my future. I wish I knew! I’m enjoying the tournament and I’m not going to talk about whether I’ll stay (at Real Madrid) or not. I’ve got two weeks to be with my family and make the right choice for me,” Ceballos told the media.

“My priority is to play. You’ve seen how much I’ve smiled, from ear to ear, this week. (Playing) is what makes me the happiest.

“Yes, the most important thing in life is to be happy and that can only happen by playing 40 games a year.

“My personal goal for next season is to play 40 games and to be comfortable at all times. Wherever it is doesn’t matter, but it has to be a place where I can feel valued.”

And now reports are claiming that even Liverpool have joined the race to sign the midfielder.

Jurgen Klopp is not expected to make any big signings this summer but now with Naby Keita set to spend a significant amount of time on the sidelines, the German boss might be looking at Dani Ceballos as a backup to the Guinea international.

If the interest of Liverpool is genuine then it surely is a big blow for both Spurs and Arsenal.

Liverpool are the current Champions League winners and any player would want to play for Jurgen Klopp’s side next season.

But while the glitz and glamour of playing for Liverpool might be attractive but if Dani Ceballos was to join either of the two North London clubs then he is going to get guaranteed game time which is something he would be looking for.
