Liverpool take on Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League on Sunday at Anfield.

And this game could very well shape the winner of the 2018-19 come May.

Right now the Reds lead the way and are first on the table – two points ahead of Manchester City but they have also played one game more than the Citizens. So in order to widen the gap at the top, Liverpool need to beat the Lilywhites at home.

Liverpool news vs Spurs:

The Reds go into this match with mostly a fit squad but there are a few issues concerning the manager right now.

The first and perhaps the biggest one would be with Trent Alexander Arnold who is currently recovering from a mystery injury and some reports claim the right-back could miss out on Sunday.

In case, Arnold does not make himself fit before the high-profile clash then James Milner will fit into the full back role.

Xherdan Shaqiri is also injured but the summer signing should make himself available for Sunday even though he is not expected to start and will only come on as a second-half substitute if required.

Jordan Henderson was suspected to be injured during international duty with England but the midfielder did make a substitute appearance vs Montenegro which means he should be available vs Spurs.

Jurgen Klopp will know full well that Henderson will be tired but the midfielder should start against the Lilywhites on Sunday.

Naby Keita is still out injured and the manager has already made it clear that Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is not yet ready for the weekend clash.

Fabinho has performed exceptionally well during the past few months and he should start alongside Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson in midfield.

There were also a few doubts over Mo Salah but Klopp has claimed the Egyptian was just given some time off and he is fully fit.

This means the front three should remain the same on Sunday – Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino.
