Liverpool suffered their first Premier League defeat of the current season as they were beaten by Watford FC 3-0 at Vicarage Road.

But Jurgen Klopp’s men will not be having it any easier since on Tuesday they head to London in order to take on Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup.

While Chelsea have the firepower to pick up a win and knock the Reds out of the FA Cup but Liverpool haven’t lost two matches in a row without scoring since 2014. And given the form that they are in right now, it’s highly unlikely that Liverpool will lose to Chelsea.

Liverpool team news vs Chelsea:

Liverpool go into this match at the back of a bitter loss meaning Jurgen Klopp will surely name his strongest possible line-up at the Bridge.

Joe Gomez remains sidelined with an injury and Dejan Lovren too have a poor outing this past weekend during the loss to Watford.

This would mean, Klopp will most likely name Joe Matip in central defence alongside Virgil Van Dijk while Liverpool’s two regular full-backs keep their place in the starting XI.

Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita are both ruled out with injuries and the manager would surely want to give Fabinho a much-deserved rest. And this would mean that Adam Lallana will most likely play in central midfield alongside Wijnaldum and Chamberlain.

James Milner is still on the sidelines with a muscular injury and now it looks like the player will not be fit in time to take on Chelsea on Tuesday.

Mo Salah is expected to keep his place in the starting line-up but Sadio Mane could be rested for the clash against Chelsea meaning Divock Origi is likely to be deployed on the right flank.

The Liverpool manager is expected to name a host of youngsters on the substitute bench with many pundits claiming that the manager could even name them in the starting line-up.

While this would have been a feasible option last week but the loss to Watford might just have put a block to this plan.

Jurgen Klopp will surely not want to suffer back to back defeats and moreover get knocked out of a prestigious cup competition.
