Chelsea brought in Jorginho from Napoli in a £57million deal two years ago but the midfielder could already be making plans of heading back to Italy – according to a report.

It was Maurizio Sarri who brought Jorginho to Chelsea but after just one year in charge, the former Napoli boss moved back to Italy in order to take charge of Juventus. And it’s being reported that the Italian wants to reunite with the Chelsea midfielder as he still considers him an integral part of his system

Italian insider Alfredo Pedulla believes Juventus are working as per their manager’s desire meaning they could try and raid Chelsea in order to sign Jorginho, who will be more than willing to return back to the Serie A in the summer.

He said: “We have always told you how strong the bond between Maurizio Sarri and Jorginho is.

“And we added that, if possible, the Juventus manager would return to work with the Italian-Brazilian he met in Naples in 2015 and turned him into a great director.

“Sarri also likes Kanté but, if he could, tomorrow he would snatch Jorginho from Chelsea.

“Jorginho will never say it but he would come running back to the old master, there is a road that can be followed in the next few weeks or when it is possible to market.”

UPDATE: Looks like Jorginho is staying at Chelsea, or is he?

Just days after reports emerging of Juventus wanting to make a bid for Jorginho, the midfielder’s agent has come out to make it clear that the player is more than happy at Stamford Bridge right now and in fact, the two parties are planning to take their partnership even further.

Joao Santos told Calciomercato, via Metro: ‘I read that, but I never had contact with them.

‘Neither Sarri nor [Juventus’ chief football officer] Fabio Paratici called me to have information on Jorginho.

‘As of today, I know absolutely nothing about this situation. The lad is very happy in London, where he is proving his worth and still has three years left on his contract.

‘In fact, in July there’s the possibility we can start talks to add a fourth and extend his contract with Chelsea. I don’t know what Juve’s transfer strategy is, but these are our plans for the future.’

This will be a big relief for Frank Lampard who like Sarri has used Jorginho extensively in that defensive midfielder’s role this season.

But while the player’s agent has squashed all rumours but we still feel Jorginho has his heart set at reuniting with his former boss meaning if Juventus do come calling then the Italian will most certainly hand in a transfer request.

As of now, the Turin outfit have made no formal moves but if they do, Jorginho will immediately be packing his bags for a return to the Serie A.
