Man United left-back Luke Shaw has been a revelation this season and right now, he’s successfully keeping Alex Telles out of the side.

Everyone thought Shaw’s time at United was over after the arrival of Telles in the summer but it seems like the competition has given new energy to the left-back and during this season, he’s one of the first names on Solskjaer’s teamsheets.

These performances are in stark contrast with how he played under Jose Mourinho and according to pundit Ian Wright, the current Spurs boss took away a lot of confidence from the England international.

“Luke Shaw when he came to United from Southampton was a fantastic player, but he fell away a bit,” Wright said, as reported by The Independent.

“He had injuries and lost form, but he has turned it around. He is fitter, stronger and is showing what he is capable of.

“Some of the treatment he got from Jose Mourinho was degrading – I didn’t like to see it.”

Luke Shaw has played in 19 Premier League games so far, starting in 17 of them and talking about his recent form, the full-back explained how he was always ready to fight for his place in the side.

“I always believed in myself,” Shaw recently said of his improved form.

“There were times where maybe people were thinking ‘maybe he could leave’, but I always believed that one day I would be able to fight my way back into the team and show people what my qualities are.”

Shaw has provided four assists so far in the league and we are more than confident that he will regain his place in the England squad very soon and could also be an active member of the EURO 2021 squad.
