Moussa Dembele playing for Celtic

French outlet Media Foot are claiming that Premier League clubs Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing Lyon striker Moussa Dembele.

After spending two fruitful seasons with Celtic, Moussa Dembele joined Lyon in the summer of 2018 but his current deal with the French club is going to end next summer.

The forward is reportedly not too keen to sign a new deal which means he is available for a cut-price deal during the ongoing transfer window.

Southampton have been publicly linked with an interest in the 26-year-old and now Arsenal have also joined the bandwagon. According to Media Foot, Manchester United are also secretly working on a deal to bring Moussa Dembele on board.

While it’s still not confirmed but as per some rumours in the British media Lyon could agree to let him leave for a free of around £10 million.

Will Moussa Dembele sign for either Man United or Arsenal?

Moussa Dembele had a great time with Celtic FC, scoring 51 goals in just 94 games and he’s maintained the same form with Lyon as well.

Last season, the Frenchman scored 21 goals in 30 Ligue 1 games and since he could be available for just £10 million, Dembele could be an absolute steal in the transfer market.

However, we think he is much more likely to join a club like Southampton rather than Manchester United or Arsenal.

Moussa Dembele started 25 out of the 30 league games which he played last campaign meaning will want regular playing time from his new club but at both United and Arsenal, he will have to play second fiddle to the likes of Ronaldo and Gabriel Jesus.

A player who has been in such fine nick in the previous 12 months will not want to warm the benches which is why the Saints have a very good chance of bringing him on board.

This is not the first time Man United have been linked with Moussa Dembele but we seriously doubt if they or the Gunners will make any sort of serious moves for the striker.
