Tottenham Hotspur are in search of a new manager after they sacked Jose Mourinho a couple of weeks ago and it looks like Daniel Levy has a pretty clear idea of what he wants to do.

Mourinho was brought in with the hope that the Portuguese will be able to bring in silverwares for the club but all he managed to do was turn Spurs into an ultra-defensive team by ruining their attractive attacking style of football.

Jose Mourinho received heavy criticism for bringing his famous ‘parking the bus’ kind of football to Tottenham Hotspur but the club’s chairman has promised the fans that such a mistake will not be repeated again.

Levy has said, as per The Independent: “I have said it many times and I will say it again – everything we do is in the long-term interests of the club. I have always been and will continue to be ambitious for our club and its fans.

“As a club we have been so focused on delivering the stadium and dealing with the impact of the pandemic, that I feel we lost sight of some key priorities and what’s truly in our DNA.

“We are acutely aware of the need to select someone whose values reflect those of our great club and return to playing football with the style for which we are known – free-flowing, attacking and entertaining – whilst continuing to embrace our desire to see young players flourish from our academy alongside experienced talent.

“It has been evident all season just how much we have missed your presence in the stands. It is a huge lift for all of us to have our final home game of the season with so many of you back here to support the team.”

Jose Mourinho had taken Spurs back instead of forward but it’s good to see the club’s management have finally realised their mistakes and are now willing to amend them.

Daniel Levy has shortlisted many names for the role of the next Tottenham Hotspur manager but without Champions League football, it will be really hard for them to lure in all the big names.

Julian Nagelsmann has already agreed to join Bayern Munich next season while Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers has also rejected an offer. Now as per the latest rumours, Tottenham Hotspur are trying to persuade Roberto Martinez to take charge of the club.
