Ousmane Dembele World Cup

Barcelona have had major headaches with Ousmane Dembele over the past couple of seasons and the Catalans have finally decided to offload him in the summer – as per Marca.

The winger joined Barca from Dortmund in 2017 for a massive fee of £135.5 million but over the past three years, all he has done is warm the beds inside the medical room.

This season, Dembele has played only five La Liga matches for the Catalans and as per Marca, the club are ready to sell him off for as low as €60 million at the end of the current campaign.

The report claims: “Dembélé has been valued by Barcelona at around 60 million. Barça’s intention is to sign Lautaro and Neymar, so there would be an excess of filmmakers.

“The Frenchman has not only been chosen for the large number of men there are to move close to the rival area but also for the serious doubts that there are with his physical condition since he arrived at the Camp Nou”

This low transfer fee for a 22-year-old will be great news in the transfer market and there are a number of Premier League clubs who could show interest in signing the playmaker. Or will they?

Will Man United want Ousmane Dembele?

Manchester United are busy chasing down Jadon Sancho plus have also been linked with Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa and both of them happen to be right-sided wingers.

United are expected to wrap up the signing for Sancho so we do not think Solskjaer will be eager to make a move for Ousmane Dembele.

Arsenal to try and sign him?

The Gunners could use a player like Ousmane Dembele but last summer they spent a lot of money on Nicolas Pepe which is a clear indication that Mikel Arteta will not be able to spend more money on another right-winger this summer.

Plus, the Gunners boss needs to bring in reinforcements for other areas of his squad which right now is of more priority than chasing the Barcelona misfit.

Next destination Liverpool?

Liverpool already have Mo Salah who operates down the right-wing and the Egyptian has no plans of leaving Anfield this summer. So Jurgen Klopp will clearly not be trying to spend money on Dembele.

Chelsea can use him:

Chelsea are about to lose Willian at the end of the season while Pedro could also be heading out which means Hakim Ziyech will be the only recognized right-winger in the squad next campaign. And in such a scenario, the Blues can very much try and bring in a player like Ousmane Dembele.

But Frank Lampard is already looking to spend money on Philippe Coutinho so it will be interesting to see if the Blues boss will be eager to dig a bit deeper in trying to sign Dembele.

NUFC to use their Saudi muscle?

Newcastle United are expected to be the next power-house in the Premier League and if a player like Ousmane Dembele is available for just €60 million then it’s right up their alley.

If their takeover is completed in time then the Magpies will most certainly try and sign the World Cup winner for the upcoming season.
