Leicester City full-back Ben Chilwell is on his way to joining Chelsea in the coming days and it looks like Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney could be his replacement at the King Power, as per reports.

Recent updates have suggested that the Blues have more or less wrapped up the signing of Chilwell and as per Fabrizio Romano, the club are set to announce the deal pretty soon.

He wrote on Twitter: “Chelsea on next few days will announce Chilwell deal, go on to receive final answer from Thiago Silva and continue negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen for Kai Havertz after new bid made yesterday.”

And now according to 90min, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is looking at young Kieran Tierney as a replacement to the 23-year-old.

They claimed in a report: “Chelsea are closing in on an agreement with Leicester to sign England left-back Ben Chilwell in a deal worth over £50m.

“Leicester have a number of options they’re looking at as replacements, with Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney at the top of Brendan Rodgers’ list.”

Can Leicester City be able to sign Kieran Tierney?

Brendan Rodgers has earlier worked with Kieran Tierney at Celtic before returning to the Premier League and the pair share a very good relationship.

But we do not think Mikel Arteta will be at all interested in parting ways with the young Scott, especially after his fine performances after the lockdown.

During the first half of the 2019-20 season, Tierney struggled to adjust in England but now it’s safe to say that the player is a key member of Arsenal’s defence and he’s going to play an important role next campaign.

So even though Rodgers would to replace Ben Chilwell with Kieran Tierney, but we’re afraid that the Foxes boss will have to look elsewhere.
