Arsenal are planning to sign a new centre-forward and they could try and make a move for Torino’s Andrea Belotti, according to reports in Italy.

Alexandre Lacazette will be leaving the Emirates next year which is why Mikel Arteta is actively scouting a long-term replacement. And with Belotti set to become a free agent next summer, he could be the ideal replacement for the Frenchman.

Football London cites these Italian report writing: “Arsenal have been placed on red alert after it emerged Andrea Belotti’s contract situation with Torino is no closer to being resolved.

“That is according to a report from Italian news outlet Tuttosport, via Calciomercato.it, who say that everything is silent on the contract front, with the forward having less than 12 months remaining on his deal in Turin.

“Juventus are also said to be keen on the Italy international, but the Gunners have also been credited with an interest in his services, as well as Inter Milan – but only if Lautaro Martinez departs in the near future.”

Arsenal likely to get their hands on Andrea Belotti?

The Gunners are expected to cash in on Lacazette during the January transfer window and there’s a big chance they could sign Andrea Belotti during the same month.

As things stand, he is nowhere close to signing a new deal with Torino and his importance at the club has also diminished(he’s playing in only two league matches so far this season).

Despite having less than one year remaining on his contract, Andrea Belotti is still valued at £31.5 million so Torino will not want to lose him for free next summer.

This means if Arsenal can put in a decent enough bid at the start of the new year, there’s every chance the 27-year-old could be heading to the Emirates.

Juventus and Inter have also been linked with the centre-forward but we don’t think these Italian sides will be eager to spend money on a player who will be available for free only after a few months.
