Arsenal have picked up their performances over the past few weeks and once again they pulled off an impressive result, this time holding Man United to a 0-0 draw at the Emirates.
The draw means the Gunners are now 10th on the Premier League table and are just six points off the fourth spot on the table(at the time of writing this). The point also means Arsenal have not tasted defeat in the league ever since they went down 2-1 at the hands of Everton last month. But despite their rigid show vs Man United, some experts believe the North London side should have picked up a win this weekend.
Speaking on the prospect of winning against Manchester United, manager Mikel Arteta has expressed happiness on how his team performed but made it very clear that its goals which win matches.
“I thought it was a great game between two big teams that wanted to win,” Arteta told Arsenal.com.
“I think it’s a fair result at the end, because they had some moments in the first half and we had some big moments in the second half where we should’ve scored at least one goal. We didn’t and because of that it’s impossible to win the game. So at least we took the draw.
“The way we controlled some big parts of the game when we changed tactically in the second half and we became much more like us.

“We were really aggressive, we won the ball really early and in really good areas. But the goal was missing and that’s the difference in really big games.”
Arsenal did manage 17 shots during the match out of which three shots were on target and one of them even hit the woodwork in the 65th minute. But in all fairness, Man United were slightly the better side on Saturday which is why the Arsenal boss will be more than happy with the one point.
The draw also means Arsenal are once again back in the race of the top-four and if the teams above them do drop a few points then there’s every chance the Gunners could sneakily occupy the final Champions League spot by the end of this season.
