Manchester City were beaten 2-1 in front of an empty Etihad stadium on Wednesday but their city rivals Manchester United had a very pleasant away outing as they beat Young Boys 3-0.
Jose Mourinho’s side had the most comfortable victory amongst all the Premier League sides that were in action this week and a number of his first-team players performed exceptionally well.
On top of that list is undoubtedly Paul Pogba who scored a brace in the game and set up the third goal for Anthony Martial to cap off a wonderful individual performance.
Martial received his first start after a couple of weeks and the Frenchman too showed that he is ready to fight it out with Alexis Sanchez for that first team spot.
But one player who caught the eye of many fans, as well as pundits, was summer signing Diogo Dalot.
Dalot made his debut as the right-back after Jose Mourinho claimed earlier this week that the youngster was ready to make his first-team appearances.
And surely the Portuguese did not disappoint.

Even Jose Mourinho was all praise for the 19-year-old claiming the youngster had more than 10 years of playing career left at Manchester United.
“Everyone could see the potential,” Mourinho said.
“Everyone could see he’s a 19-year-old player that has more than 10 years to play for Manchester United,
“But I also want to be nice to Luke Shaw because I think Diogo and Luke played very, very well and our danger came from both of them.
“They had fantastic movement, depth, crosses, assists were involved in the most dangerous actions and they defended well.”
Manchester United spent £19 million to sign Diogo Dalot in the summer and shortly after the signing, Jose Mourinho had marked the youngster as the “best young full-back in Europe”.
And now we can see that Mourinho was not talking utter rubbish.
