Joshua Kimmich wanted by Liverpool Anfield

Liverpool face Crystal Palace in the Premier League this weekend and there’s a chance that forward Diogo Jota could be fit to play in this final game of the season.

Jota was the in-form forward for Liverpool before he picked up a foot injury during their victory away at Manchester United earlier this month. Last week the manager had hinted that the season could be over for the summer signing due to this latest injury setback.

Now, Jurgen Klopp has come out to reveal that Diogo Jota has been making good progress and there’s still an outside chance that he could feature in the matchday squad against Crystal Palace.

The Liverpool manager told Liverpoolfc.com: “I don’t know yet[if he can play]. It all looked good and he will probably train today – that was the plan yesterday.

“And when he can train, we have a look how he trains and then we make a decision if he will be involved.”

Jota has played in only 18 Premier League games this season but has managed to score nine goals and his return will surely be a big boost in Liverpool’s hopes of retaining a top-four spot on the table.

Sadio Mane, on the other hand, should be a bit worried since he has been the weakest link in Liverpool’s attacking department this season and if Diogo Jota is ready to feature in the starting line-up vs Palace, it’s going to be Mane who will have to make way.

But, having said that, Jurgen Klopp fully knows how important this match is so he will only name Diogo Jota in his line-up if he is fully fit.
