Rangers FC take on Rapid Vienna in the Europa League this Thursday and Steven Gerrard’s men will be eager to get back to winning ways.

Rangers lost their weekend fixture vs Livingston 1-0 despite fielding a strong side but given they play Vienna at home, the Light Blues should see out the match comfortably.

Rapid Vienna won their first game of the Europa League group stages while Rangers managed a 2-2 draw vs Villarreal in Spain.

Rangers Team News:

The Teddy Bears fielded a really strong team against Livingston during the weekend and the game vs Rapid Vienna is not going to be any different.

The manager is expected to make a couple of changes with Nikola Katic coming in at centre-back after the summer signing was rested during the weekend. This means that Joe Worrall will move back to the bench as Katic partners Goldson.

Lassana Coulibaly will hopefully retain his place in the first XI while Ovie Ejaria is expected to be rested as Andy Halliday takes his place in midfield.

Both Kyle Lafferty and Alfredo Morelos started the game against Livingston and the pairing will not be rested against Rapid Vienna.

Gareth McAuley is yet to return to full fitness while Ryan Jack remains out with a muscle injury. Winger Jamie Murphy is a long-term absentee and the player will only return next year after he suffered a ligament injury. Lee Wallace will also not make it to the matchday squad given he is still not match-fit.
