David Moyes West Ham United

West Ham United manager David Moyes seems really keen to get his hands on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as the Hammers have made yet another move to sign him, despite Liverpool saying no the first time, as per Anfield Central.

The exclusive report claims: “Liverpool do not want to sell Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer despite being approached again by West Ham United regarding selling the English midfielder.

“Despite his staccato-esque career with the club so far, Jurgen Klopp has no plans to sell him and views him as an integral part of his squad, valuing his versatility and hard work.

“Anfield Central sources have been learned that West Ham have once again approached the Reds about signing Chamberlain, with David Moyes of the belief he can succeed at the London club.”

Will Oxlade-Chamberlain want to leave Liverpool?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool from Arsenal in 2017 but over these past four years, he has failed to carve out a niche for himself in the first-team.

Every season he has played a fringe role and the 2020-21 campaign was no different as he went on to feature in only 13 Premier League games out of which only two were starts.

It’s clear that Klopp is not ready to sell Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer but we are not sure if the England international will want to be a bench warmer for too long.

He has seen how Jesse Lingard revived his career at West Ham and since the Hammers are in Europe this time around, Oxlade-Chamberlain might be tempted to make the switch.

Any top footballer will want to get regular game time no matter how good his relationship is with the club or with his manager so if Jurgen Klopp cannot guarantee him playing time next season, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could ask to leave in the coming months.

West Ham United will be the perfect club for the 27-year-old as he could get a lot of first-team chances at the London Stadium next summer.

As per TransferMarkt, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently valued at £18 million and given how little game time the midfielder has seen this summer, we doubt if Moyes is willing to pay anything more than £25 million for him.
