West Ham United have been trying to sign Tammy Abraham for a couple of months now and after Ings’ move to Villa, Southampton have also joined the race to sign the Chelsea misfit.

Evening Standard are reporting that the Saints will try and make a move for the 23-year-old forward but they will face some stiff competition from the Hammers as well as Arsenal.

But in a fresh twist, it looks like all the three Premier League sides could eventually miss out on Tammy Abraham since Tuchel might be planning to send him to the Serie A.

The Blues are trying hard to sign Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan and if this deal goes through then it could set a domino effect in motion.

Fabrizio Romano wrote on Twitter: “Chelsea are prepared to sell Tammy Abraham abroad if an agreement will be reached with Atalanta. Meeting in the next days to open talks.

“Atalanta are ready to offer €40m for Tammy… but only in case Inter will ask for Duván Zapata as potential Lukaku replacement.”

Will Tammy Abraham agree to join Atalanta?

Once Romelu Lukaku arrives at Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel will have no use for Tammy Abraham but with so many big English clubs interested in him, we will have to wait and see if he is ready to head to Italy.

Kurt Zouma has already refused to join Sevilla in a cash-plus-player deal for Jules Kounde and there’s every possibility Tammy might follow a similar route.

Any major English international will want to remain in the Premier League and with clubs like Arsenal and West Ham interested in him, the 23-year-old might not even have to move out of London.

Atalanta’s name has just been added to the list which is why this news has been amplified so much. But in reality, the English suitors are still standing at the front of the queue in terms of signing Tammy Abraham.

Some rumours suggest Chelsea are willing to accept even £30 million for the forward so money shouldn’t be a problem for any of the three Premier League clubs.
