Leicester City welcome Premier League leaders Chelsea this weekend but Brendan Rodgers will be without midfielder Youri Tielemans.

The midfielder picked up the injury in the 77th minute vs Leeds right before the international break which is why he had to pull out of the Belgium squad. And now the Leicester boss has revealed that the 24-year-old will be out for around a month.

“I think that most of the guys have come back all okay,” the Foxes boss told the press. “We obviously had the issue with Youri [Tielemans] before he left, so that puts him out for a few weeks.

“But apart from that, the players have trained well, worked well since they come back and we’re fit and healthy otherwise. He’ll be back before Christmas.”

Youri Tielemans has been one of the mainstays for Leicester City this season and so far he’d started every Premier League game for the Foxes.

The defensive midfielder has also netted three and assisted two goals so undoubtedly he will be missed on Saturday, especially since it’s Chelsea we are talking about.

The Blues have been on fire this season, losing just a single league game whereas Leicester have picked up only 15 points from their first 11 games.

With Tielemans out injured, Brendan Rodgers is expected to slightly alter his formation, shifting from a 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1.

James Maddison will come back into the side, playing as the No 10 while Soumare and Ndidi will operate in the deeper role. Soumare was the standout player against Leeds United(rating of 8.4 out 10) but we doubt if he can maintain the same intensity against a side like Chelsea.

Thankfully, the Blues will miss Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner so Rodgers can breathe a tad bit easier on Saturday.
