Chelsea are about to sign Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell, as a deal has been agreed amongst all the parties, according to reports.

Last week, talkSPORT had claimed that the Blues are on the verge of signing the 23-year-old and an agreement could be completed by the end of the coming week.

They claimed: “Chelsea could complete the signing of Leicester full-back Ben Chilwell as early as next week, talkSPORT understands.

“There is a growing sense from within the King Power Stadium that Chilwell will be leaving the Foxes this summer amid interest from Frank Lampard’s Blues.”

Now prominent transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also come out to claim that the London outfit have wrapped up the signing of Ben Chilwell and the club are planning to announce the deal in the coming few days.

He wrote on Twitter: “Chelsea on next few days will announce Chilwell deal, go on to receive final answer from Thiago Silva and continue negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen for Kai Havertz after new bid made yesterday.”

Romano is one of the most trusted transfer experts in European football right now and if he’s claiming that Chelsea have cracked a deal then there’s very little scope to doubt it.

As per talkSPORT, Leicester City have agreed on an initial £50m fee with a series of add-ons which would kick in if Ben Chilwell flourishes with Chelsea in the coming seasons.

Chelsea have also been on the hunt to sign Sergio Reguilon from Real Madrid but now that they have seemingly managed to get Ben Chiwell, they will obviously drop out of the race to sign the Madrid man.
