Arsenal and Tottenham have been heavily linked with Manchester City’s Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus but they will have a tough time in trying to sign the 25-year-old.
Gabriel Jesus has no intentions of committing to a new deal with City as he wants to find a new challenge before the 2022/23 season begins and right now, the forward has no shortage of takers.
In a recent interview, Jesus has hinted that his agent is already in talks with the interested clubs in order to chalk out a move.
He told ESPN: “My future is still uncertain. I have already expressed my desire to Man City people and to my agent. I have in my head very clear what I want”

Gabriel Jesus did not attend City’s PL parade and initial rumours had claimed that since he wants to leave, he did not join the celebrations. However, this is not the case because the forward missed the parade due to family reasons.
In a fresh update, 90Min are claiming that Manchester City have no intention of parting with the forward this summer and they are still working hard to persuade Gabriel Jesus to sign a new long-term deal.
Can Arsenal or Spurs get a deal done for Gabriel Jesus?
Manchester City are in a precarious position right now because if they cannot make him sign a new deal before the new season begins then they will run the risk of losing him for free next year.
At Spurs, he will get to play in the Champions League but will have to work as the backup for Harry Kane whereas at Arsenal he can become the undisputed first-choice centre-forward next season.
Jesus is currently valued at around £55 million, a price which shouldn’t be a problem for either of the two interested clubs but it’s convincing Man City that will be the major roadblock.
Man City are in no need of finances so they can very well remain stubborn and keep Gabriel Jesus on their books for one more season. The owners will suffer no major losses if they can use the forward next season and then release him for free. This is obviously a bit of a naughty tactic but if the club decides to go in that direction then the two North London sides will have to work really hard to be able to crack a deal.
