Tottenham Hotspur picked up a hard-fought win over Nottingham Forest during the weekend and next up Spurs take on a struggling West Ham United.

Spurs are yet to lose a game this season whereas the Hammers have won just one out of their first four Premier League matches. The Lilywhites are currently third on the league table and they will need to win in midweek if they want to maintain the pressure on the likes of Arsenal and Man City.

Tottenham have kept a clean sheet in five of their last seven away matches and with the kind of form that West Ham are in right now, Conte’s side are the overwhelming favourites to win on Wednesday night.

The Hammers have lost their previous five home matches and they will have to dig deep if they want to pick up even a single point from this match. Honestly, we don’t see Spurs losing this one but Nottingham Forest have shown that it’s not impossible to dismantle Conte’s plans.

Spurs team news and injury updates:

Cristian Romero will have fully recovered from his injury as the manager had said last week that he will be available for selection for the West Ham United game.

Conte had said, as quoted: ‘Cuti is recovering very well, and I think for the next game against West Ham, he should be available.’

Romero’s return will be a big boost for the manager and he will come straight back into the side, replacing Davinson Sanchez in central defence.

Oliver Skipp is another player who is going to return from injury but the midfielder is not going to come into the side. However, the manager might look to rotate his midfielder meaning either Bentancur or Hojbjerg could be rested.

Yves Bissouma played the last 10 minutes during the weekend and he is in line to start against the Hammers.

Harry Kane has been on fire from the very start of this season but it won’t be a bad idea for the Spurs boss to rest him as well. The England international has been injury prone in the previous few seasons and since Richarlison is available, it makes sense to put Kane on the bench.

Richarlison is yet to make his full debut for the club and this will be the ideal game for the summer signing, especially after his impact performance off the bench against Forest.

If Richarlison is coming into the first XI then he is likely to occupy the left wing while Son moves up front.

Spurs predicted line up vs West Ham United:

Predicted Starting XI(3-4-2-1): Lloris; Dier, Romero, Davies; Bissouma/Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Royal, Perisic; Richarlison, Son/Kane, Kulusevski.
