Corentin Tolisso is out of contract at Bayern Munich and according to The Sun, the midfielder is wanted by Arsenal and Manchester United.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the 27-year-old will not be signing a new contract which means he has now become a free agent. Since both the two Premier League sides are actively searching for a new midfielder someone like Tolisso can turn out to be the ideal signing.
Romano wrote on Twitter: “Corentin Tolisso leaves FC Bayern on a free transfer, there’s no agreement to extend the contract and both parties decided to part ways immediately. Tolisso will be available as free agent this summer.”

Will Arsenal and Man United seriously make a move?
The two English clubs badly need a new central midfielder before the new season starts and since Corentin Tolisso is available as a free agent, they will surely look into it.
Arteta wants a long-term partner for Thomas Partey and with Pogba set to leave, United are also looking for a replacement. Erik ten Hag is planning a complete overhaul of the United midfield so he is expected to sign more than one midfield.
Tolisso has been with Bayern Munich since 2017 and he’s also played 28 games for the France national team so experience will not be an obstacle. All the other targets for Arsenal and Man United will come at a cost but if they are able to sign Corentin Tolisso, they will be able to save a lot of money.

He’s been with Bayern Munich for five years but the reality is that the midfielder has managed to play only 118 games across all competitions. In the previous season, he started in only eight league games for Bayern Munich.

There’s a reason why Bayern are not offering him a new deal and there’s a big chance he will turn out to be a liability for Arsenal or Manchester United.
At the stage they are in, the two teams cannot afford to experiment with gamble signings so they will have to be very meticulous regarding who they are signing.
Arsenal are planning to move for Youri Tielemans who is available for around £25-30m and the Leicester man will be a much safer signing for the Gunners.
Money is not a problem for Manchester United so rather than risking things with a free agent like Corentin Tolisso, Erik ten Hag should focus on players like Kalvin Phillips and Frenkie de Jong.
