Premier League side Everton have been linked with a move for Juventus’ 28-year-old full-back Mattia De Sciglio, according to the latest reports in Europe.

The Toffees are yet to finalize their next manager but despite that, they continue to be linked with a series of new players, Mattia De Sciglio being the latest of them.

It’s an open secret that Everton need a new right-back for the new season which is why so many full-backs are being linked with them in the recent few months.

Before this, Dutch international Denzel Dumfries was also being associated with Everton but we doubt if the English side will be able to get their hands on him, now that Carlo Ancelotti has left the club.

Who is Mattia De Sciglio & will he join Everton?

Mattia De Sciglio is a product of the Milan youth academy and after playing 133 games for them, the full-back joined Juventus in 2017.

He played only 62 games for the Old Lady and last season, he was sent out on loan to French side Lyon where he played in 29 league games, providing a single assist.

According to TransferMarkt, he is valued at £6.75 million and has only one more year left on his current deal with Juventus so he seems a very realistic option for Everton.

Also, apart from playing at right-back, Mattia De Sciglio can also play as a left-back as well as a centre-back so his versatility will also be helpful for the Toffees if they are interested in him.

Everton though are not the only club interested in him since the reports suggest that Villarreal are also keen on signing the 28-year-old.

It’s still a long way to go but Mattia De Sciglio could prove to be a real bargain signing for Everton.
